This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of Athanasso (referred to as "We", "Us", "Our", or "Developer") regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Vehiclo mobile application (the "Service", or "App").

Interpretation and Definitions

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Vehiclo is designed to be your all-in-one vehicle management assistant. Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information (such as your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google). You may also use the App in "Guest Mode," which stores data entirely locally on your device until you decide to create an account.
• Vehicle and Log Data: Data you input into the App, including vehicle details (e.g., VIN, license plates), fuel logs, maintenance records, expenses, and trip histories.
• Location Data: The App collects location data to provide automated trip tracking. This includes tracking your route and calculating distances in the background.
• Documents and Images: Receipts, insurance policies, registrations, and vehicle photos that you upload using the camera or document picker.
• Usage Data: Anonymous usage metrics and crash reports to help us improve stability and fix bugs.

Permissions Required by the App

To provide its core functionality, Vehiclo requires the following permissions on your device. You have full control over granting or revoking these permissions:

• Location (Foreground & Background): Used to track and record your driving routes for automatic trip logging. Background access is required so the App can seamlessly detect drives without needing to be open.
• Physical Activity (Activity Recognition): Used in conjunction with location data to efficiently detect when you start and stop driving, optimizing battery usage during auto-trip tracking.
• Camera & Photos: Required for scanning receipts using on-device Text Recognition (OCR) and uploading photos of your vehicles or important documents.
• Microphone (Record Audio): Required for the Voice Logger feature, which allows you to dictate fuel, trips, and expenses. The speech processing uses the native Android SpeechRecognizer.
• Storage: Required for saving generated reports, downloaded documents, and caching assets locally.
• Notifications: Used to send maintenance reminders, service intervals, and background tracking alerts.

Third-Party Services and Cloud Sync

We use trusted third-party services to power specific features within Vehiclo. These services may collect or process your data as outlined below:

• Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication, database synchronization, and secure cloud storage. All synced data, including sensitive documents (like insurance or registrations), is protected using Row Level Security (RLS) and stored in private buckets.
• Google AdMob: We use AdMob to serve non-intrusive advertisements in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect certain device identifiers and usage data to provide relevant ads.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat handles the purchase validation securely.
• On-Device Machine Learning: The OCR receipt scanning uses Google ML Kit, and the Voice Logger uses the Android SpeechRecognizer. Both process data entirely locally on your device and do not transmit images or audio to external servers for processing.

Retention of Your Data

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request to delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the App's settings. If you use the App in "Guest Mode", your data resides strictly on your device and is permanently deleted if you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or via an in-app notice.
